Valentines Day cookies!

I made heart shaped, and round shaped classic vanilla sugar cookies. I wanted to play around with some ideas for valentines day, so here are a few.

For the round sugar cookies, I used a buttercream frosting tinted with americolor food coloring. I then used a 1M tip from Wilton, and added small white pearl sprinkles on top.

For the heart shaped cookies, I used the same pink tinted vanilla buttercream and 1M tip to created the roses.


For these heart shaped cookies, I used a royal icing. I thinned out the royal icing, and dropped a few drops of food coloring on the surface. I used a toothpick and swirled the drops around. I dipped the cookies and let them dry for 24 hours.
