Moana Cake

Writer's picture: Anita Persaud Anita Persaud

Here is the cake I made for niece's Moana Birthday Party.

It was a chocolate cake, with a layer of whipped cream frosting in the middle, as requested by my niece! I covered the cake in vanilla butter cream colored light blue. Around the cake, I used a Wilton 1M tip to pipe the waves. I wanted to have two shades of blue as the waves to make it look more like water. I added the white wave boarder to break it up a little, and then piped light blue waves around the top border. To pipe the waves, you make half of a figure eight, and just let it trail, instead of looping back. On top of the cake, I used cookie sticks to make the raft, and bought Moana figurines from Amazon.
