Doc McStuffins 3rd Birthday

By the time my niece's 3rd birthday came around, she was in love with Doc McStuffins. From watching episodes, playing with her toys, and listening to her sing the songs, we knew exactly what to do for this birthday.

When guests entered the house, they entered the Doc's reception area. We made one of the front tables look like a reception desk, including a check-in sheet, and made a fish tank like in the show. The fish tank was made from blue and black poster boards, and little foam fish cut-outs we found at the craft store. The wooden #3, was spray painted white, and once it dried I painted on purple stripes to match Doc. We were able to find Doc McStuffins decorations at the party store, so we hung those up around the house.

We had three main activities at the birthday party this year, because we had less children coming. One was the ball toss game that we made from a cardboard box. We had a huge box left over from Christmas, that we taped shut, and cut it on a diagonal. We cut a circle on the highest part of it, and spray painted it with a magenta color, then added some printed pictures of Doc on there. Behind this activity, we had a game that we found at the party store, where the kids close their eyes, and try to put the band-aid on stuffy's boo-boo.

Our third activity was a pet check-up station. I made the "patient bed" out of a left over piece of cardboard that I wrapped in shiny pink paper. I hot glued four plastic cups to the bottom so that it was elevated, but the kids could still reach it. I used a piece of glitter card stock from the craft store, folded it in and half, and printed out a sign that said "The big book of boo boo's" for the kids to write down what was wrong with their pets. I gathered some of my niece's toys to use for the doc examination, like a stethoscope, and fake syringe that came in a kit. I Printed out signs with lines from the show's theme song, like "check your ears, check your eyes, find out how much you've grown". I made a little ruler for the kids to check their pets height. I just used a piece of cardboard, sprayed it purple, hot glued a strip of white paper. I had small cut out band-aids I got from pinterest, and used that as the markers.

We hung up more decorations that we found from the party store, and print outs of some of the characters we found online. Overall, all the pets pass their check-ups, and my niece and family had a blast! If you have any questions, leave a comment below and I'll answer them for you!
